My name is Zach Pearson. I'm a software engineer living in San Francisco, originally from Kansas City, Kansas.
I went to the University of Kansas
and came out with degrees in Chemistry and Computer Science. During my undergrad, I did research with the Departments of Chemistry and Medicinal
Chemistry. Since graduating, I've worked at the
Resource for Biocomputing, Visualization, and Informatics at
the University of California, San Francisco, in a full stack desktop role.
On the frontend, I write tools for scientists to analyze experimental data and clients for various webservices
on our backend, which I also wrote. My most recent work has been on improving our visualizations of medical images
and implementing real-time interactive segmentations.
In my free time I ride motorcycles, take photos, play the guitar, and play Counter-Strike.
